Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Perch ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Perch is operated by Perch ("we", "us", "our").

2. The Service

Perch is a family calendar application available as an iPad app and web app. It allows families to manage shared schedules, events, and activities. Features may change as we develop the product.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use Perch. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children's information may only be added by a parent or guardian.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
• Upload malicious content or code.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you create in Perch (events, family member details, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim any ownership of your content.

6. Third-party integrations

Perch may connect to third-party services such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and others. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Some features of Perch may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are governed by Apple's terms. Subscriptions purchased through the web are processed by Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled according to the platform's refund policy.

8. Availability and warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

10. Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your personal data from our systems. If you are the last administrator of a family group, the family group and its data will also be deleted.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
